Often when we see a snake, it is in a terrarium lounging quietly. Occasionally we might see it move slowly from one end of a log to another, warmer area in the terrarium. So you might understand why some people forget that snakes can be lightning-quick when attacking.

The man (and, dare I say, lucky fool) behind this camera learned an important lesson about nature and wildlife on this day: keep a respectable distance. Disturbing a wild animal can be cruel and just plain stupid.
